Surveyor in a Crate
The ACLS is a partner with other sister surveying associations in a initiative called the Surveyor in a Crate which is lead by the Saskatchewan Land Surveyors’ Association. It will be a teachers' resource kit to be used in classrooms across the country to illustrate the use of geometry in real life situations and at the same time introduce students to surveying in a fun way by playing games.
This is a career awareness initiative to get high school students interested in surveying by being exposed to surveying tools and problems in the classroom. A similar initiative has been very successful in Alberta.
These Crates are now available and the ACLS has ordered four of them to be circulated in schools who submit a request.
If you are a teacher or guidance councillor and would be interested in more information, please contact the ACLS Executive Director (see Contact Us page)
