GETTING IT RIGHT
Association of Canada Lands Surveyors (ACLS) is excited to announce that our new Getting It Right (GIR) Workshop will launch as a two-day pre-conference workshop, on May 5-6, before NSC 2025 in Victoria BC.
The work of Canada Lands Surveyors is enduring and has far reaching impacts upon the public. Getting it Right from the start of a project will ensure that the rest of the project progresses smoothly and efficiently.
The GIR workshop will foster an understanding of the importance of teamwork in survey organizations, demonstrate the importance of national standards and convey the impact of getting it wrong. The workshop content will explore the different phases of a survey project from the initial contact by a client, to the setup of a project, research, communicating requirements to the team, conducting the field survey and preparing the resulting deliverables.
With practical, hands-on and engaging group activities, GIR is designed to encourage its participants to be part of a dynamic land surveying team that will leave a quality legacy for current and future generations of Canadians.
